Welcome.
Hello! I'm Nicola Jane Hobbs. I'm fascinated by so many things – psychology, spirituality, stress, rest and resilience, nervous system regulation, our relationships with food and our bodies, high performance, feminist business practices and so much more.
This fascination has led to a holistic and integrative approach to my work, focussing on how we can create conscious, life-enhancing relationships with whatever 'thing' – work, food, love, body, money, success, failure, trauma, social media, performance – we're struggling with.
I like to think of myself as a psychological gardener, tending to and nurturing the people I work with, offering the essential nutrients for personal and professional growth, creating a rich and fertile ground from which they can blossom.
Like every acorn holds within it the potential to become an oak tree, it is my hope that my work offers the nourishment for you to grow into your fullest, most free, most loving self.
I work from the perspective of a fellow traveller, walking beside you on this adventure of growing, evolving and becoming. I believe you are the expert of your own experience and the answers you seek are within you. My work is to ask the right questions and hold space as you discover the answers.
My professional practice is rooted in both high level professional training and my own lived experience. I do my best to role model everything I teach – self-acceptance, gentleness, openness to possibility, true nourishment and deep rest – so that I can embody what it means to be a grounded, relaxed, joy-filled woman who can show up fully and compassionately at work, at home and in the wider world.
Please note, I am currently training to become a Chartered Psychologist and therefore I abide by a strict code of ethics governed by the British Psychological Society which includes respect, competence, responsibility, confidentiality and integrity. Being a 'Chartered Psychologist' is a legally protected title, and is only granted to professionals who have achieved and maintain a high level of qualification and experience in their field.
